A Word from the President

Danny Morris Dr. Dan Morris, Sr., President

Dear BLI Friends and Family,

It has been an honor and privilege to serve as president of Biblical Leadership Institute for the past year.  We began a transition from Evangelical University and Seminary, Inc., which remains our legal, corporate name under which the school was founded in 2007.  In 2014, the Board of Trustees voted to begin using the "doing business as" name of Biblical Leadership Institute which was more appropriate for the Bible Institute school model we transitioned into over the past year.

I am very humbled and grateful to the Founders, Faculty and Administrator who served Evangelical University and Seminary and worked diligently with us through the change in our first transitional year.  We are standing on the shoulders of giants and we love, honor and appreciate all of them.  Some of them continue to teach or serve as we continue on as Biblical Leadership Institute, while will serve in various other places.  All worked hard and gave their labor of love sacrificially and contributed immeasurable effort to make the school successful.

So many other Christian men and women and organizations and churches have also contributed prayer, labor, financial support, in-kind services, volunteerism and we are deeply grateful.

First Baptist Church Plant City has donated the use of a beautiful building for classes on their campus.  Shiloh Baptist Association has given many books to the school library, audio and video equipment, and has shared funds and personnel to assist the school moving forward.  Other individuals have donated equipment, furniture, financial support and the priceless gift of their time.

Those generous contributions make it possible for students to enroll in a class at 20% of the cost of other major Christian colleges and seminaries.  Many students have been awarded partial or full scholarships to take classes and study the Word of God.  To those individuals who have generously, anonymously and consistently funded those scholarships we say Thank you!

The original purpose and mission of Evangelical University and Seminary is being continued and enhanced through the transition to Biblical Leadership Institute.  The EUS mission to provide local, affordable, high quality education to equip men and women for local church, community and global ministry is the passion and goal of each and every person associated with BLI.  Everything we do is to serve our Lord and to live out our core values of Christ, Biblical Truth, Integrity, Accountability, Discipleship Love, Witness, and Faithfulness.

The new 2015 – 2016 season will be fresh and exciting!  We are offering several new courses with new professors.  We continue to offer academic courses for degree programs.  All current students enrolled in a degree track will be able to continue in their educational pursuit and press on toward their desired degree.

We have an exciting new opportunity to partner with First Baptist Church Plant City which was approved as a remote education site by New Orleans Theological Baptist Seminary.  NOBTS has authorized FBCPC  to offer certificate courses through their Leavell College division, with certified instructors.  There are eight courses offered which results in a Certificate of Biblical Studies.  The courses are administered locally by Shiloh Baptist Association and the credits are registered with the NOTBS Leavell College and transferable to NOBTS, Florida Baptist College and most other highly accredited Christian schools.  Any Leavell College certificate course credits will be accepted by BLI.

We welcome and encourage Christians of all ages and backgrounds to take special courses for advanced discipleship.  You can audit a class without having to take tests or be graded.  All classes are academic and can be taken for personal growth or college credits toward a degree or certificate.  Join us for Christian higher education!  Just as we visit the YMCA to work out and stay phyically strong and active, as a Christian it is good to keep our minds and spirits strong and keep growing spiritually.

Join us at as we enjoy studying and growing in Christ and in the Word of God.
